The Uzbekistan U-23 national team completed the group stage of the 2026 Asian Games football tournament with three victories, securing a place in the quarter-finals. Ravshan Haydarov's trainees collected 9 points in Group "C", recording a goal difference of 9:1.
In the opening match of the group stage, Uzbekistan U-23 defeated the Philippines with a score of 5:1. In the second round, they secured a 2:0 victory over Kuwait.
In the 3rd round match of the group played on September 22, the team took the field against the Vietnam U-23 national team and triumphed with a score of 2:0. The goals were scored by Mukhammadali Urinboev in the 5th minute and Nurlan Ibraimov in the 67th minute.
Thus, Uzbekistan won all three matches and took first place in Group "C" with 9 points. Vietnam finished second with 4 points, the Philippines gathered 3, and Kuwait collected 1 point.
