Fisheries complex in Andijan exports products worth $2 million annually

Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the fish farming project of the Chinobod Real Biznes enterprise in the Baliqchi district.

The total value of the project is 30 billion soums. 30 jobs have been created at the enterprise.

The modern complex on a two-hectare area produces 200 tons of fish meat and 2.5 million pieces of fish fry annually. The annual production volume is 50 billion soums.

A laboratory has also been established in the complex, allowing for the natural purification of two million liters of water. It cultivates chlorella algae, which improves water quality. This environmentally friendly system serves to increase fish farming efficiency by another 15-20 percent.

The enterprise's electricity needs are fully covered by solar panels. Water rich in natural substances such as phosphorus, ammonia, and calcium from the fish farming ponds is not wasted either, but is directed to crop irrigation. Thus, an integrated system of resource reuse has been created in the complex.

The enterprise exports 2 million pieces of trout fry annually to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan. The annual export volume is 2 million dollars, and the budget revenue is 5 billion soums.

The project also serves to ensure population employment. In the Sarvul neighborhood of the Baliqchi district, 20 households are raising trout on a cooperative basis with the enterprise, earning additional income.

Integration of education and production has also been established in the complex. In cooperation with the Andijan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, the "Fisheries and Poultry Practice Center" has been established. Here, students reinforce their theoretical knowledge during the production process and gain practical skills.

The head of state emphasized that such highly efficient projects are of great importance in ensuring population employment and strengthening food security.

Officials were instructed to widely popularize this experience and increase new projects to multiply product volumes several times over by using intensive methods in small areas.
