The main purpose of this visit is to study existing data and methodologies on agricultural statistics, compare them, as well as improve integrated and modular approaches to annual agricultural statistics.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held on August 18 with the participation of the Chairman of the National Statistics Committee B. Khamrayev, responsible employees of the central apparatus, and FAO experts.

Also, views were exchanged on harmonizing concepts, definitions, classifications and methodologies used in agricultural statistics, ensuring mutual consistency, accuracy and continuity of data.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the issues of introducing international experience and methodological approaches to data harmonization into national statistical practice and determining further measures.

The visit of FAO experts to the National Statistical Committee will continue until August 21.
