A delegation from Uzbekistan took part in a meeting of customs experts from CIS countries.
On August 11–12, 2026, a meeting of experts from the customs services of the CIS member states was held in Moscow, in which a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan took part.

On August 11–12, 2026, a meeting of customs experts from the CIS member states was held in Moscow, attended by a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was dedicated to preparations for the 83rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS Member States, scheduled for the second half of 2026 in the Republic of Belarus.
In addition to representatives from Uzbekistan, the meeting was attended by customs specialists from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.
During the meeting, the delegation from Uzbekistan, together with representatives of other countries, exchanged experiences and practical developments in the field of customs administration, including the development of cross-border e-commerce.
One of the central areas of discussion was the development of a mechanism for registering and identifying participants in foreign economic activity, taking into account international experience. The classification of individual goods in accordance with the unified Commodity Nomenclature for Foreign Economic Activity of the CIS and the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Customs Services of the CIS Member States on the facilitation of transit shipments were also discussed.
Uzbekistan's participation in this format facilitates the further development of practical cooperation with the customs services of CIS countries, the improvement of customs administration mechanisms, and the exchange of experience in the context of the rapid growth of foreign trade and e-commerce.
Participants paid special attention to issues related to the 35th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Furthermore, the experts were presented with the draft Work Plan of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS Member States for 2027.
Following the meeting, the participants exchanged opinions and practical proposals, which will be taken into account in further preparations for the 83rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the CIS Member States.
