"Engineers of the Future": From Theory to Production

At the republican contest "Engineers of the Future", organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, promising engineering, scientific, technical, and innovative developments aimed at solving practical problems and introducing modern technologies into production were presented.

Representatives of the Almalyk State Technical Institute also took part in the final stage of the contest, with its scientists and researchers receiving a number of prizes and awards from the Head of State.

First place in the "Best Invention" category among the faculty was awarded to a development for extracting manganese and iron from steelmaking slag. It should be noted that this innovation has already been introduced into the production cycle of a number of domestic and foreign enterprises, in particular, the Turkish company "DEMIR GROUP".

Another development, dedicated to the optimization of hydrometallurgical processes of selective manganese extraction using artificial intelligence, also received high praise.

A development by the university's representatives also took third place in the "Best Invention" category among practicing engineers.

Among the recognized works was also a technology for increasing the operational life and restoring hammer crushers using modern technologies.

The presented projects cover the processing of metallurgical waste, the application of artificial intelligence in production processes, and the improvement of industrial equipment, demonstrating the practical focus of the republic's modern engineering developments.
