According to the "Dunyo" Information Agency, during a trip to Zhejiang Province, diplomats from the Consulate of Uzbekistan in Shanghai met with the Vice President of the Institute, Liwei Feng.

The talks covered issues of academic exchange, long-term educational programs for Uzbek students, as well as the organization of short-term courses for students and teachers.

It is planned to establish education in engineering, nursing, transport, the textile industry, electric vehicle repair, new energy, and artificial intelligence.

The parties also paid special attention to practical training. It is envisaged that Uzbek students will gain professional experience at leading manufacturing enterprises, medical institutions, metro systems, and railway stations in the city of Jiaxing.

The Chinese side expressed its readiness to send a delegation headed by Liwei Feng to Uzbekistan in November 2026 to discuss cooperation mechanisms with Uzbekistan's technical colleges and sign agreements.

Jiaxing Nanyang Polytechnic Institute is a private professional higher education institution established in 2002 with the support of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Nearly 12,000 students study there. Education is provided in more than 30 specialties across the institute's seven specialized schools.
