E-permit system introduced between Uzbekistan and Georgia

Permit forms of the "bilateral", "transit" and "to/from a third country" type with Georgia are issued to national carriers only in electronic form, based on their applications.

The E-permit system has been launched between Uzbekistan and Georgia.

The Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with Georgia, has introduced an electronic permit (E-permit) system for international road freight transportation.

Now, with Georgia, the "bilateral", "transit" and "to/from a third country" permit forms have been removed from the list of forms distributed. These types of permits are issued to national carriers based on their applications only in electronic form (E-permit).

According to the Ministry of Transport, "The introduction of this system will serve to speed up the process of obtaining permits, reduce the use of paper forms, minimize the human factor, and create a more convenient and transparent mechanism for national carriers in carrying out international freight transportation."
