In Uzbekistan, control over water consumption has been strengthened — the "Vodkhoznadzor" (Water Inspection) has received the right to use drones for monitoring, and these activities will not be considered business audits.

The innovation is established by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Drones will allow inspectors to monitor water use and how correctly modern irrigation and water-saving systems are being applied. At the same time, such monitoring does not qualify as a business audit, and its results will not be entered into the "Unified State Control" system.

Previously, inspectors began using body cameras to audit entrepreneurs. Now, drones will be added to their tools.

In total, the import of 20 drones has been authorized for the inspection's needs. The agency will be responsible for their storage and use in accordance with established rules.

Earlier, Uzbekistan developed an innovative interceptor drone, "Shunkor-88," designed to combat unmanned aerial vehicles. The project was created by a team led by Bilolkhon Ismailov as part of the "Engineers of the Future" competition.
