The medical examination will be conducted at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Forensic Medical Examination and its regional branches in order to detect cases of drug consumption at an early stage.
Military conscripts will undergo medical testing for drug addiction
The Ministry of Justice has state-registered a departmental document on conducting medical testing for narcotic substances on citizens being called up for conscript military service and those being recruited for military service on a contract basis.
This medical testing will be carried out at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Forensic Medical Examination and its regional branches in order to detect cases of narcotic substance consumption at an early stage.
Citizens being called up for conscript military service will undergo medical testing before being sent to the regional military-medical commission, while citizens being recruited for military service under contract will undergo testing before passing a medical examination at a military-medical institution.
The medical testing will be conducted in 2 stages. First, a urine sample will be tested using a rapid test; if a positive result is detected, a mass-spectrometric identification test will be conducted on the urine and (or) blood samples.
Citizens whose medical testing results are positive or who refuse to submit the necessary samples will not undergo the military-medical examination.
The confidentiality of personal data, biological samples, and test results obtained during the medical testing process will be ensured.
