Cocaine found in possession of former organized crime group member in Tashkent. Video

In the Yashnabad district of Tashkent, cocaine was found in the possession of a former member of an organized crime group. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the man had a prior criminal record and was an accomplice of a well-known figure in the criminal world nicknamed "Zhora Tashkentsky."

The special operation was carried out by officers of the Operational Search Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, its regional divisions, and the Tashkent Prosecutor's Office.

During a search of the apartment, several paper packages wrapped in adhesive tape were found in the living room. Forensic analysis established that the powder substance inside was the narcotic drug cocaine. It was seized and documented as physical evidence.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspect is originally from the Fergana region. He had previously been convicted under a number of criminal articles and was a member of criminal groups.

A criminal case on illicit drug trafficking has been initiated against the suspect.

Earlier in Tashkent, security forces caught a 36-year-old woman red-handed while she was setting up a drug stash. She had 146 packages of mephedrone and MDMA in her possession. Furthermore, 1.127 kilograms of mephedrone, 700 grams of alpha-PVP, 427 grams of MDMA, 200 grams of cocaine, 100 grams of hashish, and packaging materials were found at the main synthetic drug warehouse.
