A road traffic accident involving a student of secondary school No. 65 in the Yangi Namangan district has occurred. The Preschool and School Education Department of the Namangan region has issued an official statement regarding this situation.
It was revealed that the incident took place on October 2. During the third period, the English language teacher left the classroom 10 minutes before the end of the lesson. Following this, three students left the school grounds.
At around 15:20, one of them crossed to the opposite side of the road to get water. While returning, the student was hit by a "Damas" vehicle.
The injured student received medical assistance.
Following the incident, the activities of the school officials were investigated, and the employment contract with the class teacher was terminated. The deputy director for academic affairs was given a warning, and the English language teacher was disciplined with a "reprimand."
The department announced that relevant instructions have been issued to strengthen student safety in educational institutions, ensure that educators approach their duties responsibly, and maintain supervision of children during the lesson process.
