Billions for improvements and contract payments: Uzbekistan to reward "guardians of cleanliness"

Large-scale competitions have begun in Uzbekistan for employees in the improvement and mahalla sectors. Winners will be awarded cash prizes of 500 million soums, electric cars, and grants for their children's education.

The following support measures are provided as part of the "Protector of Nature's Harmony" (Tabiat uyg'unligi himoyachisi) initiative:

The state will cover the cost of higher education for 100 children and grandchildren of sanitation workers. This will recognize the long-standing work of those working in the improvement sector.

The "Cleanest Mahalla" competition will select 14 winners. The Environmental Fund will provide 500 million soums to each winning mahalla. In addition, the winners will receive new electric cars for official use.

Environmental activists and municipal service employees will be awarded 100 bicycles. The organizers will present them to the best specialists for their dedicated work.

These measures are intended to enhance the prestige of environmental professions. The competition will also foster healthy competition between districts in maintaining cleanliness.
