In the Tashkent region, a bank employee was detained while receiving 100 thousand dollars.
In the direction of combating economic crimes, officers of the State Security Service Department for the Tashkent region, in cooperation with the Department under the Prosecutor General's Office, conducted an operational event.
During the operation, the illegal activities of the head of the Department for Work with Mahallabay and State Programs of the regional center of one of the prestigious banks in this region were stopped.
In particular, in exchange for selling 16.05 hectares of land on the balance sheet of the Kuyichirchik district khokimiyat, which was sold in 2024 by the regional department of the State Assets Management Agency through an electronic online auction to his father on a leasehold basis for livestock farming purposes, and for registering 4 hectares of land in the khokimiyat's reserve through his official acquaintances, he demanded a total of 4 million 250 thousand US dollars from a buyer.
During the operational event, he was caught with material evidence while receiving an advance of 100 thousand US dollars of the requested money. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him, and investigative actions are underway.
