Assistant prosecutor arrested in Tashkent region
The assistant to the prosecutor of the Oqqoʻrgʻon district of the Tashkent region was detained while receiving 4,700 USD from a citizen. According to the SSS (State Security Service), he demanded a total of 12,000 dollars in exchange for resolving an issue related to a car purchase and sale, and assisting in obtaining a preferential loan worth 600 million soums.

The operational event was carried out by officers of the State Security Service in cooperation with the Personal Security Department of the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the report, the assistant prosecutor, using his official position, demanded money to resolve a citizen's issue related to the purchase and sale of a car and to assist in obtaining a soft loan from a bank.
During the operation, he was caught with physical evidence while receiving $4,700 of the requested amount. It was reported that the pre-investigation probe revealed he had previously received $1,300 from the same citizen.
Currently, measures are being taken to initiate a criminal case against the assistant prosecutor regarding the situation.
The SSS has asked citizens to report such violations via the short number 1520. The confidentiality of the applicant's identity is guaranteed.
