Attendance in Tashkent schools will be monitored by cameras
In Tashkent, a school attendance control system is being introduced using Face ID technology — SI Davomat ("AI Attendance"). It is already being tested in 26 schools in the Sergeli district. Based on the results of the experiment, the system is planned to be implemented in other general education schools as well.

The implementation of the student attendance control system SI Davomat ("AI Attendance") has started in Tashkent. It determines the presence of students in classes using smart cameras and Face ID technology.
Currently, the system is undergoing testing in 26 schools of the Sergeli district, where 446 smart cameras have been installed. Based on the results of the experiment, it is planned to gradually introduce the system in other general education schools of the capital.
The principles of the system's operation were discussed on Thursday at the Situation Center of the Tashkent Khokimiyat, with the participation of the city Khokim Shavkat Umurzakov, the khokimiyat's press service reported.
If a student misses classes without a valid reason, an SMS notification is sent to their parents. Information about this is also automatically transmitted to the school principal, the prevention inspector, a National Guard officer, and mahalla representatives, the report says.
The SI Davomat system is integrated with the ERP Maktab and DMED systems of the Ministry of Health. As reported, this will make it possible to distinguish between students who did not attend classes due to illness and those who missed lessons without a valid reason.
Based on the system's data, schools are planned to be divided into "green," "yellow," and "red" categories depending on attendance rates.
In August last year, the Khokim of Tashkent signed a decision according to which an artificial intelligence monitoring program for the quality of education, attendance, and psychological state of students should be introduced in the capital's schools.
Plans to introduce a system that records the time students spend on the territory of the educational institution using Face ID were reported back in the spring of 2021.
