4.4 thousand units of perfume worth 177 million soums discovered on the border of Uzbekistan

At the "Farkhod" checkpoint, customs officers detected 4,464 units of perfume. An attempt was made to export the goods without declaring them in the passenger declaration.

The perfume was discovered during the inspection of an electric scooter ridden by a citizen. There were also no documents confirming the quality and safety of the products.

According to preliminary estimates, the value of the found goods is 177 million soums. An investigation is currently underway regarding this fact.

The Customs Committee also reminded that individuals can export goods worth up to the equivalent of $5,000 without a declaration. However, a large quantity of identical products may be regarded as commercial export.

Documents for perfume are required to confirm its origin, the legality of its acquisition, as well as compliance with quality and safety requirements.
