The limit for taking cash out of Uzbekistan without declaration is set at $10,000.

The amount of cash foreign currency exported from Uzbekistan without a declaration has been set at the equivalent of 10 thousand US dollars. This was stated in the Presidential Decree of August 28.

The decree approved a “roadmap” for reforming the customs sector, simplifying procedures and digitizing processes. According to it, the norm for exporting cash currency from the republic by individuals is set at the equivalent of 10 thousand US dollars. In cases exceeding this amount, a declaration must be filled out.

A draft law providing for this change will be developed by December 2027. The Customs Committee, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank and the Ministry of Justice were designated as responsible for the implementation of this task.

According to the current regulations, Uzbek cash currency and (or) cash foreign currency imported and exported by individuals in amounts exceeding the equivalent of 100 million soums are subject to customs control by filling out a passenger customs declaration and submitting it to a customs officer. Previously, this amount was 70 million soums.
