Assistant to Khokim Who Promised to Increase Pension Arrested
An assistant to a khokim (district governor) who returned the money has been detained in the Khorezm region.
An operational event was conducted in cooperation with the Khorezm Regional Department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office and other law enforcement agencies.
During the event, it was established that B.Kh., the assistant to the khokim on entrepreneurship development, employment promotion, and poverty reduction of the "Jambul" neighborhood in the city of Urgench, gained the trust of citizen Sh.Yu. and fraudulently obtained 15 million soums in exchange for allegedly increasing the old-age pension amount of Sh.Yu.'s spouse, Z.K., through his acquaintances working in high-ranking positions. Subsequently, he was caught with physical evidence while returning 14.9 million soums of this money to Sh.Yu.
In connection with this situation, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.
