In the football tournament of the Asian Games continuing in Japan, the Olympic national team of Uzbekistan faced Saudi Arabia in the quarterfinals.

In the 12th minute, Dilshod Murtazoyev opened the scoring with a powerful long-range shot. The first half ended with a score of 1:0. In the second half, Uzbekistan intensified their attacks even further.

In the 78th minute, Roʻziboy Fayzullayev received the ball in the center of the pitch and made an excellent cross from the right flank. Breaking into the penalty area, he passed the ball to his teammate. Azizbek Toʻlqinbekov did not let Fayzullayev's effort go to waste — making the score 2:0.

Close to the end of the match, another attack was organized from the right flank. Firdavs Abdurahmonov, who came on as a substitute, headed a lofted cross from the flank accurately into the goal, putting an end to the match.

In the semifinals, the Olympic national team of Uzbekistan will face the winner of the Japan — North Korea match. The game will take place on September 30.
