Another 7 children left without parental care in Russia have been brought to Uzbekistan

On September 15, another 7 minor children left without parental care in Russia were returned to Uzbekistan. According to the National Agency for Social Protection, 3 of them were handed over to representatives of Uzbekistan by their mothers, who are serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty.

The next group arrived in Uzbekistan as the third group of the official mission carried out to Russia to repatriate minors. The work on returning the children was carried out by a working group consisting of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President, with the support of the Children's Ombudsman and the consular offices of Uzbekistan in Russia.

With the return of this group, the official mission to Russia has concluded. During the trip, a total of 30 minors were returned to Uzbekistan from Russia, and as a result of relevant efforts, 2 children were returned from Kazakhstan. Thus, the repatriation of a total of 32 children was ensured.

Measures are being taken to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of the returned children, to reintegrate them into a family environment, to place them in alternative care options if necessary, as well as to provide social, medical, and psychological assistance.

The subsequent condition and family adaptation of the children will be monitored by the "Inson" social services centers at their place of residence on the basis of social support.

Efforts to return minors left without parental care abroad to Uzbekistan are ongoing. In particular, an official mission is expected to be carried out to return 1 child remaining in Georgia to the homeland. Negotiations are also underway with Turkey regarding the return of minors.

On September 7, it was reported that 11 children left without parental care in Russia and Kazakhstan had been returned to Uzbekistan.
