Andijan ahead of Tashkent in number of hospitals

In terms of the number of hospitals in Uzbekistan, Andijan region leads with 265 institutions in the region. Fergana region follows in the next places with 246 hospitals, and the city of Tashkent with 240. The total figure across the republic stood at 1,987.

According to the National Statistics Committee, as of January 1, 2026, the number of hospital institutions operating in the country has increased by 15 compared to 2024.

Out of the total number of hospitals, 1,384 are small business entities. This is equivalent to nearly 70 percent of the total number.
