An enterprise in Qashqadaryo aims to bring its export volume to $40 million
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the "Wosune Food Ingredients Karshi" enterprise located in the "Qashqadaryo" free economic zone.
The cost of this enterprise, built with investment from the US company "Wosune International Inc", amounts to $8.5 million. 150 permanent jobs have been created here.
The enterprise specializes in the deep processing of fruits and vegetables grown in the region. High value-added products are prepared from raw materials and exported to foreign markets.
Carrots, bell peppers, pumpkins, apples, green onions, spinach, and various herbs are dried here using convection equipment. This technology serves to preserve the natural taste and nutritional properties of the products.
30 percent of the production process is automated with robotics. Ready ingredients are supplied to companies producing instant meals, spices, canned foods, and cosmetic products. The enterprise's products are exported to Russia, Europe, and CIS countries. It is planned to bring the annual export volume to $40 million.
To expand the supply of raw materials, it is planned to establish direct cooperation ties with peasant farms in the Qashqadaryo region. The head of state got acquainted with the production process and finished products at the enterprise.
