Construction materials produced in Nukus will be exported to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the "Coals KS" enterprise in the city of Nukus.
The total value of the project is 16.3 million dollars. The enterprise has launched the production of gas blocks and lime. An area of 4.8 hectares has been allocated in the "Nukus" free economic zone for the production of gas blocks.
The lime production facilities are located on a 4.8-hectare area in the Qorao‘zak district.
The enterprise has the capacity to produce 300,000 cubic meters of gas blocks and 165,000 tons of lime per year. This will allow not only supplying the domestic market with modern construction materials but also establishing exports. It is planned to export the products to Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
96 percent of the raw materials used in production are sourced from local suppliers. In particular, quartz sand, cement, and gypsum are supplied by domestic enterprises. This is of great importance in reducing the cost of the product and ensuring the stability of supply.
The gas blocks manufactured at the enterprise are distinguished by their lightness, heat retention, and sound insulation properties. They are 3-4 times lighter than ordinary baked bricks, which serves to reduce construction costs.
Today, 200 local residents work at the enterprise. To date, the enterprise has launched 5 major projects with a total value of 200 million dollars. Construction work is ongoing on another 4 new projects worth 40 million dollars.
The importance of maintaining high quality while reducing product costs, expanding production volumes and export opportunities, and regularly improving the qualifications of employees was emphasized.
