According to forecasts by the Ecology Committee, air quality in the evening and night hours will be at an "unhealthy" level according to the international AQI index, and mainly at a "yellow" level according to the national index.
This may be caused by a drop in air temperature and temperature inversion during the night. This situation limits air exchange in the lower layers of the atmosphere. Meanwhile, light winds slow down the dispersion of pollutants coming from local and neighboring areas.
During the day, as air temperatures rise and vertical air exchange improves, the inversion may weaken. As a result, air quality is expected to gradually improve.
