Air quality in Tashkent expected to improve tomorrow

Currently, ambient air quality is under continuous monitoring by the Special Commission. In particular, air quality in the city of Tashkent is likely to deteriorate on the night of October 31 to November 1.

According to forecasts, air quality is expected to reach the "unhealthy" level on the International Air Quality Index (AQI) and the "orange" level on the national air quality index during the evening, night, and morning hours.

A drop in air temperature at night, light wind, and temperature inversion will limit air exchange in the lower layers of the atmosphere. This condition may slow down the dispersion of emissions formed in local and neighboring areas, creating conditions for PM particles to accumulate in the surface layer.

During the daytime, due to rising air temperatures and improved vertical air exchange, the inversion is expected to weaken, leading to a gradual improvement in air quality.
