Today is proving to be very productive for the delegation of Uzbekistan participating in the Asian Games.

Uzbekistani athletes who competed in rowing, canoeing and kayaking, as well as shooting events, had already secured places among the medalists today. Now, representatives of artistic gymnastics and fencing have joined them.

Otkirbek Jurayev, a member of the Uzbekistan national artistic gymnastics team, won the gold medal.

Our compatriot, who competed in the pommel horse event, recorded the best result with 14.733 points.

Meanwhile, Zaynab Dayibekova, a member of the Uzbekistan national fencing team, lost to the two-time world champion Misaki Emura of Japan with a score of 14:15 in the final and was awarded the silver medal.

Thus, the number of medals won by Uzbekistani athletes at the Asian Games has reached 25: 5 gold, 12 silver, and 8 bronze.
