Part of the luggage of passengers on the Centrum Air flight from Istanbul to Fergana was not loaded on board due to introduced aircraft payload restrictions. The airline explained the delay and assured that they intend to deliver the luggage to the Fergana airport on the evening of October 5.
According to Centrum Air, operational restrictions on the aircraft's payload were introduced before departure. This decision was made taking into account flight safety requirements. As a result, 99 pieces of luggage could not be delivered to Fergana on this flight.
"The airline is making every effort to deliver the luggage as soon as possible. According to preliminary information, it will be delivered to the Fergana airport on October 5 at 22:00," the carrier's official statement reads.
The airline apologized to the passengers for the fact that the absence of their personal belongings upon arrival caused them serious inconvenience.
Passengers are asked to keep their luggage tags and contact the baggage department of the Fergana airport.
Earlier, a Centrum Air aircraft was struck by lightning, causing a flight on the Tashkent — Guangzhou route to be delayed for almost two days.
