A teacher from Karakalpakstan, Nigora Allambergenova, was among the winners of the republican competition "Teacher of the Year" and received 50 thousand dollars. The educator from School No. 2 of the Kanlykul district shared this during President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's visit to the region.

During the meeting with the head of state, she also reported that School No. 1 of the Kanlykul district, which had been housed in a technical school building since 2019, was reconstructed this year under the direct instruction of the president.

The "Teacher of the Year" competition is being held in Uzbekistan for the first time and was established on the initiative of the country's leader. This year, more than 46 thousand educators from across the republic participated in the professional contest.

Based on the selection results, 208 teachers became winners — one specialist from each district and city. Each of the best teachers will receive a cash prize of 616 million soums, which corresponds to 1,400 basic calculating units.
