A system for the continuous recording of the population size will be introduced in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, a system will be created for the continuous recording of the population size.

A unified statistical register of the population will be formed in Uzbekistan. This new system will make it possible to calculate the number of the country's residents and regularly publish up-to-date information.

This is provided for by a new decree of the President of Uzbekistan. The launch of the system is scheduled before the end of 2027, using the results of the population and agricultural censuses. Databases of state bodies containing information about the population will be reconciled with each other and integrated into the register for continuous updating.

Before its launch, the information system will undergo an expert evaluation by the Cybersecurity Center. After the introduction of the register, its security will be under constant control. Only authorized employees will have access to the system, and they will be able to use the data exclusively for preparing aggregated statistics. The use of individual data by state bodies, organizations, and other persons is prohibited.

In parallel, a statistical register of agriculture will be formed. These measures are included in the national strategy "Development of Statistics – 2030", which also provides for the modernization of statistical systems, the transition to international standards, and the reduction of the reporting burden.

, that according to the preliminary results of the first general census in the modern history of Uzbekistan, the country's population has exceeded 39 million people.
