Three cases related to narcotic substances were detected.
In an operational event conducted in Tuproqqala district by the State Security Service Directorate for Khorezm Region, in cooperation with the regional Internal Affairs and Customs Administrations, a "Lacetti" vehicle traveling on the "Surkhandarya – Khorezm" route was stopped and inspected.
As a result, it was revealed that a cellophane bag belonging to a passenger in the vehicle—a resident of Angor district, born in 1960, who had been previously convicted twice for crimes related to narcotic substances—contained 490 grams of "opium".
It was established that he planned to sell this narcotic substance, which had been smuggled from a neighboring country, in the Khorezm region.
In another case, 119 grams of "hashish" was seized from a passenger of an "Onix" vehicle traveling on the "Tashkent – Khorezm" route—a resident of the city of Urgench, born in 1968.
In an operational event conducted in the Oqoltin district of the Syrdarya region by employees of the SSS Directorate for Jizzakh Region in cooperation with the regional Internal Affairs Department, a "Lacetti" vehicle traveling on the "Syrdarya – Jizzakh" route was stopped.
During the inspection, the driver of the vehicle—a resident of the city of Jizzakh, born in 1974, who had been previously convicted of a crime related to narcotic substances—aroused suspicion among the participants of the event, and his person was searched in accordance with the established procedure.
As a result, it was discovered that 16 grams of "opium" was hidden inside his shoes, and it was seized as material evidence.
Currently, criminal cases have been initiated against these individuals, and investigative actions are underway.
