A new overpass has opened in Zangiota to reduce traffic congestion
On October 3, a new railway overpass was put into operation between the Sobir Rahimov and Oʻrtaovul stations. The structure, located at the junction of the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region, is aimed at regulating traffic flow, reducing congestion, and ensuring safe movement for drivers and pedestrians.

In order to reduce traffic congestion in Zangiota, a new overpass has been put into operation. According to information provided by "Oʻzbekiston temiryoʻllari" JSC, this overpass was built in place of an existing railway crossing.
The opening ceremony was attended by the khokim of Tashkent region Z. Mirzayev, the chairman of the board of "Oʻzbekiston temiryoʻllari" JSC Z. Narzullayev, transport prosecutor I. Narimov, local residents, and media representatives.
Within the framework of the project, a two-track railway bridge with a length of 23.6 meters was constructed. After the completion of the construction work, the railway tracks were reinstalled in their original place.
In addition, a 1,200-meter bypass railway and automobile road were built, and 800 meters of the contact network were relocated.
During the construction process, drilling work was carried out on 237 piles for the foundation of the retaining wall. In total, 60 thousand cubic meters of earthworks were completed.
Automobile and pedestrian walkways in the area have also been fully completed. Appropriate devices have been installed for the safe drainage of rain and snow water.
According to the company, the overpass will create convenience for the residents of Zangiota district and those transiting through the area. It is expected to serve to reduce the daily load on the roads, save travel time, and increase traffic safety.
