A fire broke out on the dome of a mosque under construction in Tashkent

A fire broke out on the dome of a newly constructed mosque in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the polyurethane foam in the dome section was damaged by the fire. The fire was extinguished at 12:04, and there were no casualties.

Today, October 3, at 11:36 AM, a report was received that the dome of a newly constructed mosque building located in Sergeli 4 block, Yangihayot district, was smoking.

Rescue crews arrived at the scene immediately. Initially, it was reported that the situation was under the full control of the Tashkent City Emergency Situations Department.

In a subsequent update, the ministry stated that polyurethane in the dome area caught fire and was damaged, and the fire was extinguished at 12:04 PM.

No one was injured as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire and the amount of damage have not yet been disclosed.
