A fire broke out in an apartment building on Asaka Street in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent on August 16. The Capital Emergency Situations Department received a report at 22:02 that a fire had broken out on the roof of the building.
The rescue unit quickly arrived at the scene. The fire was contained at 22:43 and completely extinguished at 23:33.
Videos posted on social media show that a fire truck was unable to enter the building's courtyard due to the arch of the apartment building. The footage also shows that the fire had spread to the apartments in the attic of the building.
According to the Emergency Situations Department, no one was injured as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are currently being determined.
