In New Tashkent, the construction of a 10-kilometer road, a bridge, and an overpass is planned to improve transport links with the capital. These infrastructure facilities will connect Temur Malik Street with the 4R12 highway. Provision is also made for the construction of an underground parking lot that will be connected to metro stations.
One of the largest business projects will be the Metropolis business city with a total area of over 818 thousand square meters. It will house offices, hotels, and residential buildings. In addition, the Silk City, "Mavj", and "Marjon" residential complexes, as well as a 120-bed central hospital, will be built in the city.
An industrial zone for semiconductor production will also be created in New Tashkent. The initial investment volume will amount to $320 million, and in the future it is planned to bring it up to $1.7 billion.
Special attention will be paid to environmental technologies. Together with the Finnish company MariMatic, waste-to-energy recycling will be established in the city. Solar panels with a total capacity of 20 MW will be installed on the roofs of residential buildings.
According to the head of state, the implementation of these projects should turn New Tashkent into an international center of business, tourism, and culture. Shavkat Mirziyoyev also thanked the builders, engineers, and foreign partners involved in the development of the city.
