10 gas leaks detected during inspections in Tashkent after the explosion on Glinka Street
After the underground explosion on Glinka Street, where utility repairs were recently carried out, the Tashkent Khokimiyat conducted an investigation in other districts and identified 10 cases of leaks. They have been promptly resolved. Mobile laboratories continue to inspect the networks in the area of Glinka Street.

Following the explosion that occurred on September 3 due to a leak from an underground gas pipeline on Glinka Street in Tashkent, a special working group was formed on the instructions of the capital's khokim to conduct inspections in other areas of the city. It included specialists from Veolia Energy Tashkent (heating), Toshkent shahar suv ta’minoti (water supply), and Hududgaz Poytaxt (gas supply). This was reported by the press service of the capital's khokimiyat.
During the inspections, 4 cases of gas leaks were detected in medium-pressure gas pipelines and 6 in low-pressure gas pipelines. All malfunctions were promptly resolved, the report said.
On Glinka Street, repair and restoration work has been completed, and it is open to traffic. At the same time, mobile laboratories of Hududgaztaminot and other organizations are conducting a comprehensive inspection of engineering networks in the areas adjacent to this street to identify potential gas leaks.
"These efforts are aimed at preventing potential emergency situations in the future, ensuring public safety, as well as the stable and reliable functioning of the city's infrastructure," the khokimiyat noted.
As a reminder, work was carried out on Glinka Street in the summer to upgrade outdated engineering networks and replace pipes. The new pipes were tested for strength and functionality, the authorities of the Yakkasaray district had reported.
