Uzbekistan's Public Procurement Reaches 188.4 Trillion Soums

Uzbekistan's public procurement volume hit 188.4 trillion soums during the first six months of 2026.

According to UzDaily.uz, a total of 1,099,305 contracts were executed by public procuring entities within this period. The Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement reported that efforts to analyze and streamline procurement processes resulted in budget savings of 7.2 trillion soums.

Tashkent led all regions in public procurement, accounting for 41% of the total with contracts valued at 77.7 trillion soums. Navoi region followed with 34.3 trillion soums, representing 18% of the overall volume, while Tashkent region secured the third position with 17.2 trillion soums, or 9%.

Among government-funded entities, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education was the top procurer, awarding contracts worth 13.45 trillion soums. The Ministry of Transport came in second with 10.98 trillion soums in procurement, and the Ministry of Water Resources was third with 7.01 trillion soums.

In the corporate sector, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Company JSC recorded the highest procurement volume at 21.78 trillion soums. Other significant corporate procurers included Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Company JSC with 8.42 trillion soums, Uzbekneftegaz JSC with 6.47 trillion soums, and Navoiyuran JSC with 5.82 trillion soums.
