Power Supply to Be Temporarily Suspended in Three Tashkent Districts

Electricity will be temporarily cut overnight on 14 July in parts of three Tashkent districts as scheduled grid modernisation and reconstruction work is carried out.

Power Outage Scheduled in Three Districts of Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On the night of July 14, electricity will be temporarily cut off in three districts of Tashkent due to modernization and reconstruction efforts in the power grid, according to the Tashkent Main Electric Networks.

Technicians will be working on the Exhibition substation, leading to a power outage for residents in the Almazar and Shaykhantakhur districts from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.

In Almazar district, the neighborhoods affected will include Kuyosh, Allon, Chustiy, Orzu, Ziyo, Universitet, Chimboy, and Zamondosh.

Meanwhile, in Shaykhantakhur district, the power will be temporarily unavailable in the Bog Kucha, Yangi Shahar, Ilgor, Zafarobod, and Buston neighborhoods.

Additionally, reconstruction work aimed at enhancing the reliability of the power grid will take place at the Istikbol substation in the Yangihayot district. Consequently, electricity will be suspended from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on July 14 in the Humo, Yangi Umid, Tashabbus, Yangi Turmush, Olchazor, Mashal, Yangihayot, Oriyat, 8-Qurilish, 10-Qurilish, Yangi Darkhan, Yangi Choshtepa, and Choshtepa neighborhoods.

Officials from the power utility have urged residents in the impacted areas to prepare accordingly and expressed appreciation for their understanding regarding the temporary disruption caused by the planned work.
