Tashkent Suggests Penalties for Unpaid On-Street Parking
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The city administration of Tashkent has put forward a proposal to establish administrative penalties for those who do not pay for on-street parking. The draft legislation is available for public review on the regulation.gov.uz website.
This proposal aims to revise the Code on Administrative Responsibility by introducing a new Article 128-11, named "Failure to Pay for the Use of Paid On-Street Parking Spaces."
According to the draft, individuals who delay payment or fail to pay for on-street parking would face a fine equivalent to two basic calculation units. Currently, this fine totals 824,000 soums, which will rise to 880,000 soums starting from 1 September.
The suggested regulations would exempt individuals who are legally entitled to use these parking spaces without charge or at a reduced rate.
Additionally, the draft states that instances of late payment can be verified through data collected from automated photo and video monitoring systems, as well as information from relevant data sources.
The public consultation period for this draft legislation will be open until 28 July 2026.
