Namangan Fleet Welcomes 12 New Chinese ANKAI Buses
Namangan has taken delivery of 12 new ANKAI buses from China, with an additional 18 vehicles expected to join the city’s fleet by the end of 2026.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The city of Namangan has welcomed 12 new ANKAI buses from China, designated for municipal Route 12, which links Khanabad and Sherbulok. An additional 18 buses of the same model are expected to join the fleet by the end of 2026.
As reported by the regional administration, this delivery was made possible through a contract between Malakali avtotrans servis LLC and the Chinese manufacturer ANKAI, with the total contract valued at US$1.875 million.
Prior to the arrival of the first batch of buses, an initial payment of 9 billion soums was made.
These new buses will serve Route 12, which accommodates around 7,100 passengers daily.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, the Hokim of Namangan Region, who presented the keys to the new buses to the drivers.
Local residents and veterans were the first to ride the buses, participating in a symbolic inaugural trip alongside the regional leader.
The regional administration stated that the upgrade of the bus fleet is intended to enhance the quality of passenger transport and to provide safer and more comfortable travel conditions for the people of Namangan.
