Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A fire ignited on the roof of a five-story apartment building located on Baburshokh Street in the Hamdustlik mahalla of Andijan during the night of July 14, 2026, near the Department of Emergency Situations for the Andijan Region.
The regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that the fire was first reported via the 112 emergency hotline at 01:43. Fire and rescue teams quickly responded and managed to extinguish the blaze in a timely manner.
Initial reports indicate that there were no injuries resulting from the fire.
Experts are currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the extent of the material damage incurred.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations also confirmed that the Department of Emergency Situations building in Andijan was unaffected by the incident.
