Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Anglesey Food, the operator of the Korzinka supermarket chain, has successfully won an auction to lease 36 land plots in Tashkent for the purpose of creating a network of paid parking facilities. The results of the bidding were announced on the E-auksion electronic trading platform.
The auction occurred on July 13, 2026, lasting for 9 hours and 28 minutes and comprising 293 bidding steps. Ultimately, the lot's price surged by 15.65 times from its initial value.
The winning bid amounted to 20.948 billion soums for the single lot, and the payment has already been completed. The next step involves signing a contract with the project client.
The municipal entity Tashkent Invest initiated the auction for the plots in June 2026. The total area of the leased land is 3.99 hectares, situated across ten districts of the capital, and is being leased to the private partner under a public-private partnership framework for a duration of ten years.
As per the project specifications, modern paid parking facilities are to be developed on these sites, featuring video surveillance systems that utilize artificial intelligence, LED screens indicating the availability of parking spaces, payment terminals, and an information system that integrates with the city's Paid Parking system.
The project allows for payments through terminals, bank cards, and electronic payment services, with a minimum parking fee set at 10,000 soums per hour.
Additionally, a loyalty program for frequent users is part of the project. The state partner, Tashkent Invest, is expected to receive at least 10% of the revenue generated from parking operations, with an additional 5% allocated to the operator of the Paid Parking system.
All projects related to the organization of parking spaces must receive approval from the Tashkent Road Traffic Organization Center. Only lightweight, non-permanent structures are allowed on the designated plots.
The minimum required private investment for the project's execution is established at 10.85 billion soums.
According to the auction documents, all 36 plots are adjacent to existing Korzinka supermarkets located in the Almazar, Mirabad, Mirzo-Ulugbek, Sergeli, Uchtepa, Chilanzar, Shaykhantakhur, Yunusabad, Yakkasaray, and Yashnabad districts of Tashkent.
The establishment of this parking network is part of a broader initiative to enhance the paid roadside parking system in the capital, aimed at facilitating centralized management of parking spaces through digital technologies.
