Bukhara Region and Belarus to Broaden Economic Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – The Dunyo Information Agency reported that a delegation from Uzbekistan's Bukhara region, headed by Khokim Botir Zaripov, convened with Yuri Shuleiko, the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation, building on the agreements established during the Uzbek-Belarusian summit held in Minsk in early July.
During their discussions, it was highlighted that Uzbekistan continues to be a steadfast and proven partner for Belarus. Participants noted a consistent upward trend in bilateral trade, with projections to reach $1 billion this year and an ambitious target of $2 billion by 2030.
The meeting participants underscored that collaboration between the two nations is progressing across multiple sectors at both governmental and interagency levels.
Following the third Region Forum, interregional engagement has intensified. A key focus remains the practical execution of joint ventures in light industry, agriculture, and machine building.
Concluding the talks, both parties delineated subsequent steps to actualize the agreements reached and foster mutually beneficial cooperation.
