Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, the Hokim of Andijan Region, convened a meeting with Aleksandr Rogozhnik, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee from Belarus, to explore opportunities for enhancing interregional collaboration.

The discussions centered on fostering trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian relationships, along with executing collaborative projects in sectors such as industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and woodworking.

Participants also assessed the progress of nine livestock initiatives aimed at managing a total of 8,000 cattle and deliberated on partnerships between higher education institutions in both Andijan and Vitebsk regions.

As a result of the talks, the two sides signed a road map that outlines the execution of 30 joint projects, collectively valued at US$141 million.

These initiatives are anticipated to bolster investment cooperation between the regions, establish new joint ventures, and enhance long-term trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus.
