Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Rustam Yusupov, the Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation from the Chinese firm CRCC Investment (China Railway Construction Investment Group Corporation Limited), headed by General Director Xu Yuhe.
During the discussions, representatives from CRCC Investment outlined the company's operations, current international investment and infrastructure initiatives, and expressed a desire to enhance collaboration with Uzbekistan. The conversation particularly focused on the potential for the Chinese company to engage in mining industry projects.
Yusupov provided the delegation with insights into the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan's subsoil use sector, the existing frameworks for attracting investment, and the opportunities available for investors to take part in electronic auctions for promising subsoil areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their shared interest in fostering cooperation and agreed to maintain discussions on promising avenues for collaboration in the mining and geology sectors.
