Ferghana and Minsk Regions Enhance Investment Collaboration
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — During a working visit to Belarus, Nuriddin Mamajonov, the Deputy Hokim of the Ferghana Region, held discussions with Vasily Sysoev, the First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.
The dialogue focused on the potential for enhancing trade, economic, investment, and agro-industrial collaboration between the Ferghana and Minsk regions.
Significant emphasis was placed on developing joint agricultural projects. The meeting participants explored the possibilities for launching investment initiatives in the Minsk Region, particularly in livestock breeding and potato farming, as well as the establishment of a modern facility for deep flax processing in the Ferghana Region.
At the conclusion of the discussions, the parties reached preliminary agreements to initiate the practical execution of joint initiatives and to prepare specific investment projects.
The advancement of interregional cooperation is anticipated to bolster economic relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus, broaden investment interactions, and create new avenues for executing collaborative projects in the agro-industrial sector.
