The president's congratulatory message emphasizes that the Uzbekistani chess players outperformed the reigning Olympic champion India, China, which possesses an ancient chess school and many grandmasters, as well as the US team, which ranks first in the world ratings and is a six-time Olympic champion.

It was separately noted that at the Samarkand Olympiad, Uzbekistani para-chess players won a bronze medal for the first time in the history of such games.

"In the person of all our chess players, our people see holders of strong knowledge and will, the youth of New Uzbekistan, capable of conquering great heights.

Undoubtedly, this high victory will give us all new strength, spirit, and inspiration, and will serve as a true example for our younger generation.
