Chinese technology companies have placed a $35 billion order for Nvidia chips ()

Chinese companies ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have ordered over 3 million RTX PRO 5500 graphics cards from Nvidia, with a total value exceeding $35 billion. The price of each graphics card is estimated at around $11.4 thousand.

The RTX PRO 5500 graphics cards are less powerful than Nvidia's advanced processors designed for artificial intelligence, but they do not fall under US export restrictions and can be sold to China.

Total orders from Chinese companies have exceeded 6 million units.

Nvidia stated that delivery difficulties may arise due to high demand. This indicates a high demand for computing power to develop artificial intelligence in China.

In 2027, Nvidia may produce a maximum of 3 million such graphics cards for the global market. Initial deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

Major oil companies expect a significant increase in profits based on Q3 results ()

British financial information group LSEG estimates that net profit for BP (British Petroleum) is expected to increase by 155 percent in Q3 2026. Shell forecasts that its refining margin will reach a record $42 per barrel, while TotalEnergies projects that cash flow from refining and petrochemical activities will double to $4 billion. ExxonMobil indicated that profit in this sector could increase by $4.5 billion compared to the previous quarter.

Overall, BP, Shell, and TotalEnergies expect refining margins to increase 3–4 times compared to last year. This is being affected by rising energy prices and supply disruptions through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the Financial Times, the combined profits of the five major oil and gas companies (ExxonMobil, Shell, Chevron, TotalEnergies, and BP) exceeded $75 billion in the first half of 2026, a 75 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The companies' free cash flow nearly doubled. Since the conflict with Iran began, gas prices in Europe have risen by 155 percent, and diesel fuel prices have doubled.
