The World Bank has presented a report on the standard of living in Uzbekistan. According to experts' estimates, the economic situation of the population has noticeably improved.
According to the study, between 2019 and 2024, almost half of the country's residents — 44% — moved up into higher income groups.
The share of the middle class has increased particularly noticeably. While in 2021 only 37% of Uzbeks belonged to it, by 2025 this figure had almost doubled and exceeded 72%.
