Women's carriage to be launched on Almaty-Tashkent train route from October 1

Kazakhstan's Passenger Transportation Joint Stock Company will launch a women's carriage on the Almaty-Tashkent international train from October 1. This was reported by 24.kz.

It is noted that the Almaty-Tashkent route is of great importance in the development of passenger transportation services between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Given the popularity of this route and the growing number of passengers, it was decided to introduce a women's carriage.

"This service is also in great demand on domestic railway routes. Since its launch, more than 946 thousand passengers have used the women's carriage," said Anuar Akhmetzhanov, chairman of the board of Passenger Transportation JSC.

Currently, the train runs daily: Departure from Almaty station - at 19:05, arrival at Tashkent station - at 12:53 (Tashkent time); Departure from Tashkent station - at 14:41 (Tashkent time), arrival at Almaty station - at 08:51.

This brings the number of routes with women's carriages to 14. Boys under the age of seven are allowed to travel in women's carriages accompanied by adults. Tickets for these carriages are sold only to women and are served only by female attendants.

Tickets can be purchased at railway ticket offices or issued online on the official website bilet.railways.kz. When purchasing a ticket, pay attention to the "JN" sign, which indicates that the seat is in a women's carriage. Ticket sales open 45 days before the train's departure, allowing passengers to plan their trip in advance.
