Separate carriage for women to be introduced on Almaty-Tashkent train
Tickets for these carriages are sold only to women. However, boys under the age of 7, accompanied by an adult, are allowed to travel.
It is planned to introduce a separate carriage for women on the Almaty-Tashkent train.
Starting from October 1, 2026, the "Women's Car" service will be launched as part of the international train No. 1/2 on the Almaty-Tashkent route. This will be the first such service offered by the national railway carrier of Kazakhstan on international routes.
Tickets for these carriages will be sold only to women. However, boys under the age of 7 can also travel in this carriage when accompanied by an adult. The attendants serving in the carriage will also be exclusively women.
The Almaty-Tashkent train runs daily. It departs from Almaty at 19:05 and arrives in Tashkent at 12:53. It departs from Tashkent at 14:41.
With the introduction of the "Women's Car" service, the number of routes where this service is available will reach 14. Since its launch in Kazakhstan, more than 946,000 passengers have used it.
